No I haven't been watching Mork & Mindy, instead I've jumped in with both feet and signed up for NaNoWriMo.  I'm not however a massively creative writer, English was certainly not my best subject at school and any creative projects had a much greater focus on presenting my rubbish story in a nicely type written, funky formatted manner than on the actual content.  So rather than writing a novel I've decided to use the month to force myself to generate some more content for Synuron.  This means that over the next 30 days I will be writing 50,000 words worth of blog posts, newsletter items and member best practice articles in a bid to have a library of stuff that be drawn upon as and when needed.  You can be my writing buddy on the NaNo site if you like.

I then realised that if I do keep up with that side of things I could cunningly participate in NaBloPoMo as well! Score!  I'm kicking it off here on Posterous because www.tailfish.co.uk is a bit ill at the moment Dreamhost has had a bit of a viral infection so all my links are contaminated (don't click them), whether I can cross post remains to be seen.

So there we have it a month of hardcore writing and maybe even blog posts too....I bet you can't wait!

Today has been a successful kick-off to the month though with me writing 3 articles and hitting 2314 words (that's 647 ahead of schedule), let's see how long I can keep it up.

I thought you all might be interested in a series of events that SNO!zone are running over the upcoming weeks.  They’re putting on some afternoon sessions to give freestyle newbies the opportunity to get some pointers from the SNO!zone coaches and sponsored riders.  I’ll be at the Castleford & MK events (Braehead’s just a bit too far for me I’m afraid) and it would be great to see some of my blog readers & Twitterers there giving freestyle ago.  I don’t want to hear any moans about being too old either, I didn’t start riding until I was 27 and now at 36 I’m still learning new tricks!

This weekend saw us hitting the slopes at SNO!zone MK again.  I had a great time, and managed to get some decent switch straight airs on the kicker (actually getting some air, legs sucked up and landed!) and some more work was done on my side-on rails.  I’m slowly building my confidence, not quite ready to hit stair-sets yet but I’m improving with each session.  I also had some fun hitting the a-frame switch and got some 180s on & off on the snow-butter-box.

Jools took some photos of the Park Strife event on Saturday, there aren’t any of me as I was a bit wussy in comparison to some of the other riders, but I hope you like what he shot.
